Where the Forest Tells Its Stories
Tipeshwar doesn’t arrive all at once. It reveals itself in layers, shaped by season and light. In summer, the land stretches out in brown—open grasslands, dry, spare, expansive. Then come brief bursts of colour: purples and soft blooms scattered across the earth, almost unexpected. With the monsoon, everything turns green. Thick, saturated. The forest closes in gently, forming dense pockets where shade holds and sound deepens.
Birdlife is constant, stitching the days together. Peafowl move through the undergrowth. Indian rollers flash sudden blue against muted greens. Paradise flycatchers drift past like afterthoughts. And sometimes, if luck leans your way, there are rarer stories—grey-headed fish eagles near water, crested serpent eagles calling from above, painted storks passing through.

The Saoji Cuisine
Food at Junglee Bagicha is personal, almost instinctive. Meals are cooked and served in the same way as natives do in this part of Vidarbha.
One by one, the air carries the spicy aroma, of the unmistakable Saoji-styled cooking, even before the table is set.
Curries served with rice and Yavatmal’s staple bread- the faintly nutty Jowar bhakri, with an understated charm. These flavours reach and linger. Then there is the tangy Thecha- freshly crushed with green chillies, garlic, salt is brought to the table. By all means, sharp and sensory.
Seasonal veggies are cleaned, cooked and seasoned with great care. For instance, the eggplant is roasted over low flame, mashed smoky and warm with chili and oil, before it is tampered with the masala and made into a curry.
Indigenous grains—Indrayani and Namdev rice, grown in local black soil—are cooked plainly, their aroma left to speak.
Somewhere between passing the bowls and enjoying Curry-Bhakri, Junglee Bagicha begins to feel like having your place in Tipeshwar.

The farm stay itself is beautiful, peaceful, and extremely comfortable. The food was excellent fresh, flavorful, and homely. The service was outstanding, and the staff made us feel completely at home throughout our stay. Their warmth and attention to detail really elevated the experience. Every evening, they thoughtfully arranged a bonfire for us, which added such a special touch to our nights in the wild.
One of the biggest advantages is that it’s very close to the Sunna Gate, making safari access seamless and convenient. We went on three safaris and were lucky enough to sight tigers on two of them an absolutely thrilling and unforgettable experience.
All in all, Junglee Bagicha offers the perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and adventure. A beautiful, fantastic stay that I would highly recommend to everyone looking for a memorable getaway into nature.
The place is extremely clean and well maintained. The food provided was very good. It’s located very close to one of the gates .

They have a lovely machaan where we were served refreshments for the evening while enjoying the beautiful view.
The rooms are basic but very well kept with clean toilets and linen.

The staff were absolutely lovely, warm, attentive and always ready to help without ever feeling intrusive. The home-cooked food was a highlight for us: simple, fresh, and comforting, just like you’d get at a good home. Another big plus is the location; it’s very close to Sunna Gate, which made getting to our safari early in the morning really convenient. Overall, a perfect place to unwind and connect with nature.
