The Forest

Tipeshwar doesn’t reveal itself all at once. In summer, the land opens up—dry, expansive, and sparse. With the monsoon, it turns dense and green, the forest closing in gently.
This is tiger country. Not because you are certain to see one, but because the land carries that presence.
Leopards move quietly. Sloth bears pass through. Wild dogs, chital, sambar, nilgai, and wild boar leave their signs behind.
Birdlife is constant—Indian rollers, peafowl, paradise flycatchers, and, if luck allows, rarer sightings like crested serpent eagles or grey-headed fish eagles.
